The European New Town Platform was created the 24th April 2001, at the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Dutch New Town Almere. The platform was created by New Towns from France, England, the Netherlands, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Finland. The Platform is open to all the New Towns in Europe.
