Financial support and exchanging knowledge
'ReUrbA has provided us with financial support for the establishment of our information centre. That was vitally important for launching the restructuring work. This is where business people meet; it is where they talk to the city's administrators; it is where everybody can feel and see what the final result will be.' Natasha Viering is responsible for project 'communications' and she works together closely with the project manager, Lisette Nijs.

The Spaanse Polder is already awake. |
Lisette Nijs: 'With ReUrbA, we have entered a new phase. The partner projects now exchange a lot more experiences. And ReUrbA is now going to work with flying experts , people who provide assistance specifically for the projects. We have asked for support centred on the theme of security. That is something the business community is very concerned about. How can you improve security in such an enormous, open area?
If a flying expert can help us, it is not just the Spaanse Polder that will benefit; it will also improve our standing with the business community. The more concrete results you achieve, the more opportunities there are to get business people involved in other initiatives.' |
